ladyisland2007: Does a mother mouse need to be seperated from the father after baby mice are born?
My two mice must somehow gotten into mating season. Just last night she had 8 baby mice. Does the mother need to be seperated from the father? What should I do if they need to be seperated and for how long?

i would… just to be safe, as he may try to mate with her again, and frankly, she isn’t ready to mate so soon after giving birth.

YES!! My mouse had babies and because the father was still in the cage she ate the babies… take the father out… i dont know for how long though…
