CrimsonSmylez: How can I convince my mom to letting me go to the movies with friends?
I am 13 years old and I’m not allowed to go to the movies with my friends because my mom says no. Do you think my mom is being ridiculous? How can I convince her to let me go to the movies with friends once in a while.

let her meet your friends and see what type of people you hang out with show her you are mature enough and maybe she’ll let you go

Aah, that happened with me, too. My mom was so over-protective, it drove me crazy. She always told me things about how, “There are creepy old men at the movies. They just take little girls for no reason. I’ve heard stories about it, trust me.” Every single time I would ask her, it was always a no. Even if it was with a group of eight or nine friends.

I eventually got her to let me go at age fourteen. I was with a group of I swear, twenty kids. Three of which were seventeen. So she let me go. I just took my phone and told her that she could call me if she needed to. Ever since then, I’ve been allowed to go out to the movies with friends. Because I got home safely at night.

same with my mom! I think you just have to convince her that it’s not a bad movie, you’ll be home on time and that you won’t be hanging out with the wrong people. Do you often ask why she says no?

Have HER maybe pick up your friends and drop you off there so she can get a feel for who you’re hanging out with.
That is kinda ridiculous, I mean, it’s the movies, what are gonna smoke crack at the movies or something?

ask her to drive you there and tell her what time u want to be picked up. and tell her if u dont go to the movie that you will text her or call her evry so often so she knows u arent in trouble.

My Advice, let her meet your friends. Let her get to know them a little more. You should also tell her that your Cell phone will be on at all times and you should tell her that she can call you anytime. [Yea I know, but it works.] You should also call her when you get there, when you get your tickets and etc. I know it seems annoying and a lot but your Mother will trust you more. Trust me. ^_^
