: How do you convince your dad to let you get your lip or cartilage pierced?
I really badly want my lip or cartilage pierced and i was going to get my cartilage pierced but my friends mom came over and stared telling my dad how its so bad and stuff i keep telling my dad that i’ll clean it and stuff and so i asked for my lip and he said no cause ill look like a slut so how would i convince my dad to let me get my lip or cartilage pierced?

It depends how old you are. Tell him the pros and cons of both piercings. This is what tell him:

Cartilage:

Pros-
-doesnt scar easily

Cons-
-does not heal quickly
-gets infected easily
-hurts to sleep on it
-healing time about 6 months to a year

Lip piercing:

Pros-
-heals quickly
-does not scar easily
-also both are piercings and can be taken out if you don’t like them
-with a lip piercing if you have to go somewhere professional like a funeral or church you can put a clear stud in so no one can see it

Cons-
It gets swollen for a few days after piercing
