jennifer: Can a wife ask husband for money after shes cheated and moved in with another man?
My friends wife has cheated,moved in with another man,He has custody now until court.She called him and asked him to give her 500.00 for gas and groceries,because she don’t work and neither does her new boyfriend.They live in New York,what are the laws for this?Is he responsible to still give Her money legally until the divorce?

She could ask….but that doesn’t mean she will get it. Only a jackass would give a woman money after she cheated on him and is now living with the man.

well it’s the husbands money so I think he should be able to do whatever he wants with it. He earned it

Yes she can ask…he can also say no. He’s not responsible for anything she’s doing right now. He needs to just hold out and let the lawyers do their thing.

yes he is responsible of this. if the cheating doesnt come up in court, he will have to pay her alemony… which is lots more then 500$ …

He doesn’t have to give her jack, unless the courts say so.
She’s got a lot of balls asking him that. Sounds like a real prize.

Pedantically he is.
If he doesn’t financially provide for her then he is guilty of domestic abuse.
If he changes the locks he is guilty of domestic abuse.
Her moving out might count for something with a flesh & blood judge though.

If I were him I would not give her a cent but once it’s all wrung out in the wash, he is going to owe her child-support and probably spousal support – yes I read that he has custody, he is still going to end up paying her.

If he gives her money he’s dumber than he looks. She left him with the kids and took off. A judge will laugh that out of court. Is the husband supposed to support her and the boyfriend because they’re both losers? I say let the court decide and I bet it will be in the husbands favor. She has no ties since the kids are with him so she can work now and so can lover boy. Disgusting.

Let me tell you: I have been seeing a man that is separated from his wife of 17 years. She moved out in July and took the children. He signed for her an apartment. She convinced him that there was a chance after she moved and they were intimate. Within 3 months she was pregnant and had an abortion by another man. She spends no time with her children except to go shopping at malls (he pays for)! Holidays are spent with her friends! She works maybe 20 hours a week at Walmart. He works 10-12 a day! He pays her way while she does what she wants to. She decides what he does and who he sees! If she finds out we are together she stops him from seeing his children.On Mothers Day she broke the presents her children bought for her in his garage floor. She lives like a queen while he tries to figure out what he can give up to make ends meet! She claims we are Dumb Americans! She fails to realize that the US Army paid her way here from Korea! What she fails to realize too is that he had to fill out her job application for Walmart! Not to mention her children are half American. He offered to pay for her GED and college but she declines! Tell your friend to be grateful he has his children and to say no to his problem. Otherwise he may get suckered in with a leach like this man has!
To my knowledge there is not law that says he has to unless a judge orders it done! Hopefully he will see right through this and not allow her to show up “looking good and living good” at his EXPENSE! Tell him to not to let her use his children as an excuse either!
