: What are good algebra and geometry books?
I am looking for books to learn Algebra I-II and Geometry over the summer. I don’t want something as big or as expensive as a textbook. I am more interested in affordable books that could be used to self-teach HS level Algebra and Geometry.

These are by no means cheap, but, in terms of quality, they are the best you can get.
For Algebra 1/2, I strongly recommend Art of Problem Solving’s Introduction to Algebra, and for Geometry, Art of Problem Solving’s Introduction to Geometry.
You can find more information on these at their website, artofproblemsolving.com
They are geared more at comprehension than “Here, memorize this formula, and do 50 problems by plugging in numbers”. Their books are widely used for math competitors around the nation, and have my highest recommendation.
