perfect square trinomials? i’m confused. are these perfect square trinomials? if it is could you factor it? if not could you explain?
1. 49x squared – 14x + 4
2. 36 x squared – 60x – 25
3. 16x squared + 36x + 20

1. Not factorable since 2(7x)(2) doesn’t equal to 14x. Therefore, it’s not possible to get perfect squared binomial.
2. Not factorabel since 25 is negative. Therefore, it’s not possible to get perfect squared binomial.
3. Factorable this time, but not perfect square trinomial.
4(4x² + 9x + 5)
= 4(4x + 5)(x + 1)
