roxya153: What are some good ways of practicing algebra on my own for a placement exam?
Either I take remedial courses in college next year or I study a lot in the next 5 months and take a placement exam to be put in a normal college class. How can I reteach myself the stuff I missed when I was sick and couldn’t attend school? (I ended up failing Algebra 2 that year) I have two algebra books on hand for a limited time that I was thinking of copying some pages out of.

in the back are answers to the odd numbers. do a page and check your answers there!
There are three excellent options:
1. Get a review CD or book
2. Check out a review website such as https://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/col_algebra/index.htm
3.Get a temporary tutor. Some of those guys don’t ask for much money at all.Answer by SassySista
search the web for interactive math sites. There are tons of them and it’s free……goodluckAnswer by angel
higer a tutor, there are some online courses I’m sure that can help, or ask some teacher of yours, or someone smart in your family. I definitely think you should have someone help you, because attempting algebra by yourself can be more difficult then actually being taught by a teacher in the classroom. You should get a tutor, I think.Answer by Stephanie A
The best way I learn, is by copying the problems and doing them. Most books have examples before the section, so that helps when it comes to self teaching. Most books also have the odd answers in the back. When you do a problem and then look at the answer, it will help teach you how to do the problem.
