FerociousD: What can i do about this intermediate algebra?
I am working towards a degree in telecommunications, I am doing generals, and am getting very discouraged as i am doing only intermediate algebra, (1010), but cannot seem to be able to grasp the concepts portrayed in some of the chapters dealing with solving an equation with rational expressions. This is only intermediate algebra, and my degree requires at least collage algebra…. Am i just not made out for the collage thing? Am I DOOMED to fail?
Any one else been through this that was having a hard time?

Have you thought about getting a tutor?
I am an undiagnosed self proclaimed math dyslexic, but got through it to get a degree as an R.N. My daughter is in high school now and dealing with Algebra 1–if she has a question, I go to the internet and find good tutorial help. One site has a section where students ask questions–and tutors offer their help–many of them will do it for free. Not everyone is ‘good’ at math–it may be an indication that you are geared for more artistic endeavors.
