baldoxxx5000: About “following up” for a job, there are signs that say”Immediate position”and sometimes”Immediate interview
Im desperate for a job, so I keep looking for stores that are hiring. This store states “Immediate Openings” and this time I say “Immediate Interview?????” So is it ok to follow on an application (in PERSON) and hopeing that they would Interview me immediately? or wait for them to call (which is hopless…. check :)index;_ylt=Amj.oeyaEgx6qPDAl7SBoYfsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070915083348AABnRSk
Most people suggest follow up in person , and that wouldnt annoy them but impress the employer.
Thank you for your great answers.

Follow up either in person or by phone call, but don’t wait for the company to contact you. Companies can’t be bothered with following up on every interview. Inquiring in person shows initiative and a strong desire for the position. Be sure when you do your in-person follow up that you are dressed neatly. You don’t have to be in interviewing attire, but a nice collared shirt and slacks are good choices. I say go for it – I’d much rather hire someone who goes out of his or her way to come back to see me for follow-up than someone who doesn’t make that effort.
Hey I saw an earlier question of yours that said you wanted to apply with Office Depot. If you are still interested, email me and I will try and give you all the information you need to get a job there. Ive worked there for the past 2 summers under two different employers, but I left just last week b/c Im going to start school at another location. If you need help with it email me.
