gyro: Will clothing on a water heat radiator start a fire?
If I have clothing or anything on a water heat radiator. Will it eventually start a fire?

No. The radiator isn’t hot enough.
It’s not particularly good for the clothes, though. You’re better off with a dryer rack next to the radiator.
Answer by meIf you are talking wet clothing…not a smart move you could burn it. Best to hang it over a chair next to the rad. Dry clothing should not be an issue but if you are tossing it on the rad you are blocking heat.
Wet and heat causes steam the steam can damage the clothing kinda like leaving an iron on a wet cloth.

I’m a builder 30 years I have replaced two homes do to this. I say FMA to the thumbs down. Bite me.

Answer by jayktee96There is no chance of a fire if it’s a water filled radiator, however you will block off the heat from the rad. better with something like this……….
