Co-worker who constantly want to be a matchmaker. Why?
I have a co-worker who I get a long with. She constantly is trying to find me someone. She even asked me what I’m looking for in man. She is serious about matching me up with someone. She said she is a good matchmaker. Why do certain people insist in being a match maker?

Because being in a relationship is what makes them the happiest, and they want to share that joy with others. She only wants whats best for you.

If you are uncomfortable about it, you should voice your opinion to her on the issue.

Because you haven’t told her you are perfectly happy being single. Some people think you MUST have a significant other for various reasons…they just need to know that you don’t.

She likes you and wants to make you happy by thinking that if you are with someone she knows that she cares about too, everyone will be happy and it will make her feel good.
If you do not want her to be doing this, just tell her you are not interested.

She really wants to be matched up. So she keeps doing others so maybe it will happen to her.

Each time she brings one up say ‘how about you’ and start with her. Even if she is married it doesn’t mean she wouldn’t like something else.
