Number the Stars: Why do viewers sometimes “fall in love” with characters they see on screen on on a page?
It’s like falling in love with a character that your art classmate drew. Artists draw pictures and paint paintings of beautiful humans all the time.

Me being a fangirl who does this all too often, I really can’t explain why. It’s stupid. I know.
Because, and I hate to say it, but people in real life suck 😛 its true.
People often fall for fictional characters because they are not ordinary. For instance, take Yuki Sohma from the manga ‘fruits basket’, he’s sensitive,sincere,soft-spoken, and he loves to garden…
What (straight) guy has any of those qualities??? And is sincere about it? Really, it’s difficult to find people like that.
Answer by xoxo3666reality sucks-all the hot guys are gay so what are us straight girls supposed to do?Answer by Rocky
^^What are you straight girls supposed to do? You look for someone to fall in love with not based on their looks but on their personality and interests. It’s true reality does suck, because all you females go for the good looking guys that are also jerks instead of the somewhat less attractive ones that would treat you like an angel.
Anyway, I’d assume people “fall in love” with drawings because they like the way they look and the characters personality. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with admiring that, but these fangirls take it too far….wishing that the characters were real and obsessing over them.

They find a character attractive on TV.. some hopeless fantasy. (I mean it’s alright to admire some characters because of looks and personality, but fangirls/boys take it to a new level.) You will NEVER get a chance even if the character was real.
