Because if you were flying you wouldn’t need someone to catch you in their arms
Hi Charlie,
Because it is a process; boy meets girl, girl meets boy and over time their relationship deepens. perhaps the statement should be ‘falling gradually in love’?
Flying in love requires that ones feet rotate like a ship’s propellor and elevation occurs. If you find that your heart is soaring check to see if your feet have left the ground.
I couldn’t help noticing the ‘when’ in when I’m in love. So, I hope you find true love.
Happy New Year.
Before Marriage
John: Ah! … At last, I can hardly wait!
Jane: Do you want me to leave?
John: No! Don’t even think about it!
Jane: Do you love me?
John: Of course! Always have and always will!
Jane: Have you ever cheated on me?
John: NO! Why are you even asking?
Jane: Will you kiss me?
John: Every chance I get!
Jane: Will you hit me?
John: Hell no! Are you crazy?!
Jane: Can I trust you?
John: Yes.
Jane: Darling

I think it’s because flying or soaring imply some sort of control over the situation–like a bird soars or a pilot flies a plane. For me falling makes more sense because Iove is like a free-fall. It’s scary, breathtaking, exhilarating, unknown. You have no choice but to give yourself over to it completely, even though your brain tells you there’s a good chance you will eventually land (or crash).
