Iskandar: Why are some people good at maths while others are not?
Why is it that some people seem to be born with a great mathamatical ability, while others struggle to comprehend it all. I tend to do better in subjects like Chemistry, physics, history and english while I struggle with maths. What is happening in the brain that is the causing people to be more gifted in some things while not as adept in others? Is it the ammount of blood that is reaching paticular areas, maybe some areas of the brain are not as developed as others. What is it that causes this?

The answer to that is one we’re only just beginning to discover. The human brain is the most complicated peice of wetware we know of, and scientists have only just scratched the surface of what exactly it does and how it works. Some theories say that abilities like that are in the DNA, that there are more synapses and nurons and all that encoded into one part of the brain than another. Others say that it’s at least partly environmental– that people do well at things they enjoy, because they’re willing to put more time and effort into them. And there are some things, like WHY do we enjoy one subject over another, or where child prodegies come from, that we can’t even begin to guess at.
Your opinion are right (we said “brain activity with left or right”), cause some people very happy, like and fun with exact subjects the others aren’t.
I think depend on culture in their family, cause Clever isn’t Smart, Clever = people can do something with learning more and more…sometime..fall..try again ..and done, but smart = inovative, creative etc….people.
for smart people almost like exact subject, so ..for social subjects may be we can find some clever people.
But do you know, how many person (in percent) in the world, to be succeed in economic ( or in people power), politics etc with Math or exact subjects back ground fr. university/ high scholl ? I think almost people said : ” fr. social subjects ”
best regards.
