tmmz1107: Which two hotels should I stay at in Las Vegas for my vacation?
I keep hearing about so many great hotels in Las Vegas I think I am going to divide my stay into two hotels rather than stay in one the entire time (planning on 3 nights in one and 3 nights in another). Which two do you think I should stay in? It’s my first time going to Vegas.

Hotel rooms are pretty much alike and you would be better off getting a good deal on an extended-stay (e.g., off the Strip) and just use the hotel as you base-of-operations. You can visit the other hotels and enjoy their amenities without paying their hefty room price. In any case, why would you want to have to re-pack after you have once unpacked everything?
The Bellagio is my absolute favorite but can be pricy. The Monte Carlo has nice rooms and a fair price. Suggest you do priceine and name your own price. Rooms should be cheap. You are not going to spend much time in your room so why pay a lot of money. Save on the room and enjoy a couple really good meals instead. A room is a room. You will want to at least visit some of the more interesting hotels just to see them.Answer by Irish Sean
Much will depend on your budget, but if money is no object, I’d split my time between the Venetian and Wynn.

You’re going to get lots of different answers to this question.
I’ve just returned from a week in Las Vegas and stayed at the Planet Hollywood. To say it is huge is an understatement. It has the V Theatre, a 150-shop shopping mall and 70 restaurants, and of course a huge casino. I don’t think it is important where you stay because you will be eating out (whether it’s in your hotel or another) and will be wandering in and out of hotels just to have a look at the magnificence of them all! But, the Planet Hollywood is convenient as it is right in the middle of the Strip. We also had a room with a view of the Bellagio fountains – brilliant.
Save your legs and take the Deuce bus or the Ace bus which go backwards and forwards up and down the Strip all day. They even take you all the way to Fremont Street (another “must do”). $ 3 for 2 hours, or $ 7 for 24 hours. Ticket machines are at each stop.
Get discounted show/tour tickets at the Tix4tonight booths up and down the Strip.
You will have a super time whichever hotel you choose. I’m dead jealous!
Answer by MariePIt depends on your budget but I recommend to stay in a hotel on the Blvd. where all the action is. MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay are fine because of their great pool scenes. Before you book keep an eye on https://www.vegas-hotels-online.com – it has various hotel promo codes which can save money.Answer by Jason T
If money isn’t important, then I would stay at Mandalay Bay and the Wynn. You will get to stay in two of the nicest and coolest hotels on the strip. Also, you will get to stay at the north and south end of the strip.
On a more moderate budget, I would stay at Treasure Island and Montecarlo. Both hotels are very nice and are located a little closer to the “heart” of the strip.
If your going on a budget, I would stay at Bally’s and Imperial Palace. These hotels are a good value and in great locations.
No matter where you stay go to the MGM Grand. I’m guessing they still have the best game in town. I like to call it pinball horse racing. You bet on little horses in a machine that race around a track. The odds change for each race and you can bet as little as a quarter. It’s a lot of fun, you’ll get free drinks, and if you make quarter bets you can play for an hour on ten or fifteen bucks.
Answer by MelissaWe had friends who did this a few years ago, and they split their trip between MGM, Bellagio, and Wynn. They wanted to be at different parts of the strip and try some new hotels. They were pretty happy with their decision.
My favorite hotels are Caesars and Venetian – great locations, nice rooms, lots to see and do around them. But they are fairly close together, so if you are wanting to experience different parts of the strip I’d choose just one of them.
I’d consider Mandalay Bay for the great pool area (MGM has a good pool too).
Answer by TielmanYour idea sounds creative and fun. I suspect you’re a person who will have a great time no matter where you end up. Here’s my itinerary:
(1) Wynn: It’s won more five-star and five-diamond awards than any other hotel in America, so start your vacation here and relax for a few days. Bring comfortable shoes… most of the Strip is accessible from Wynn, but the Southernmost casinos like Mandalay Bay, Luxor, NYNY, and MGM Grand, will be too far for most people to walk.
(2a) Golden Nugget: The rooms and hotel are just average, but you’ll get free admission to their completely awesome shark tank/swimming pool. You’ll be downtown, in old Las Vegas, where each casino has at least one really good restaurant. However: Downtown is seedy, and if you wander away from Fremont Street you’ll see it immediately. If you don’t want any grit in your vacation, consider:
(2b) Monte Carlo or Planet Hollywood: Again, average hotels, but right in the middle of the action-packed south Strip. You’ll have walking access to all the casinos, bars, clubs, shows, and restaurants you could ever want.
If you’re over 35, I recommend trip a. Under, trip b.
Don’t forget the Grand Canyon, and I personally enjoy walking in Red Rock Canyon immensely.
Avoid:
Vdara. Their pool, between two mirror-glass high rises, will fry you like an ant under a magnifying glass.
Sahara. Their buffet isn’t so good.
Paying club promoters. Call the club directly first.
if you are going with alot of money, then I would stay in Mandalay Bay & Caesars Palace. Mandalay has a great pool with waves & sand, you feel like your at the beach. Caesars has huge pools all named after Greek Gods. Believe me, I’ve been there 20 times before I even moved here, & I’m only 13. My dad was a bartender here for 42 years, starting at 16. trust me, I know what I’m talking about.Answer by Ryan
I would do a quick hotel search on TravelBru for Las Vegas Hotels and then narrow your search down to your exact requirements, locations and pricing. We use them all the time for accommodation search and reviews and have had great results. Hope it helps
