Where has all the fun gone in vacations?

I hate Hillary Clinton: Where has all the fun gone in vacations?
Examples of what I mean: Airline delays are increasing, hotels are getting outrageously expensive, people still interract with the office even on vacation, We can’t take too much items on an airplane, we can’t take certain items on an airplane, Some people spend way too much money on vacations these days.
If you think about those factors, it doesn’t seem like a vacation to me.

I know what you mean.
But most people put that behind them when on vacation. Things are much more complex these days. Vacations take work to get.

As a society, we have redefined a vacation as “a break from the usual” rather than simply “a break or relaxation”. It’s so rare that we get the time to try something different from our usual grind, that in leu of recouperating, we’d rather engage in something completely out of pattern. It’s not that we don’t want to rest and relax (R&R) It’s that Americans have always prided themselves on our hard-working nature; and in order to provoke us to work even harder, we were called LAZY, with absolutely no merit to this. Not wanting to be ones called lazy or slothful, we spited those who called us lazy and worked harder and longer hours. For big business’s benefit. When the money didn’t matter and we wanted the time off, we were shown a host of new technology ($ $ $ ) that we MUST have if we are to remain a strong and intelligent nation. So here we are working ourselfs to death, over stimulated by technology, and tired and irritable. So much so, that we don’t want to be around other people because we’d probably choke them to death because we are so sleep deprived and have limited patience after dealing with bosses who are nothing short of asking for our first born in return for our jobs not to be outsourced to India! So to ask for a regular 2 weeks off at one time would seriously put us on “the list” with our own co-workers because of down sizing (Of course a staff of 4 can do the work of 12; They’re American, they have to compete with India’s wages- where by the way, they NEED a staff of 12 to do the work of 4 Americans= that’s why they get paid less!))
