.02 REMAINS: Is it wrong or unhealthy for a family to take vacations without your children?
How would you compare that to taking vacations while your spouse/partner stays home with the children?
Only occassionally, not every time or always.

No problem to do this time to time.
If the spouse doesn’t mind then that is no problem as well.

I believe that taking family vacations with the kids is good…..when you are going to the Zoo, Sea World, Disneyland, things like that. But if you just want to take a vacation to where its just an “Adult Family Vacation”, then hell yeah!!! My husband and I are actually planning a “family vacation” to Salt Lake City without our girls. We wanna go jet ski riding, hang out on the boat and do fun things without having to worry about our girls. :0)Answer by Walaka F
As long as kids also are well cared for, possibly going on their own vacation without the parents…mine have from time to time, eg school excursions even overseas ones. In fact 2 of them are planning to be spending a week later this year away on a school planned trip. So why not parents away as well? As for spouses, guess that depends on how you both feel about it.
But try to balance it with whole family events too. It certainly makes sense at times if you have different interests and have total trust in each other.
