I went to a piercer that did my piercing incorrectly. He used jewelry that was obviously (later I found) to small for the area that was pierced. Two other friends and I went to this guy. My piercing got infected and one of my other friend’s piercings got infected. My jewelry was too small, her jewelry was too small and pierced and a wrong angle. The guy was obviously inexperienced, not to mention the area that he pierced us in was not as clean as it should have been. I ignored the cleanliness b/c I was just so excited to get my piercing, but he messed up 2 out of 3 piercings, leading me to believe there has to be more people out there that he’s done this to. I want to complain. I’m going to try the BBB and I want to know if there is any other place/ organization I can complain to – maybe one that specializes in piercers/ tattooers? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can try the health department. Most people in that industry are supposed to carry a license to do such work and if he doesn’t have it he shouldn’t be practicing.
