When should you start to play elite soccer and when should you start playing club soccer?

Ferny: When should you start to play elite soccer and when should you start playing club soccer?
Im gonna play AYSO soccer for the first time this year. But I dont just wanna play AYSO, I want to play elite and when Im good enough, i wanna play club. When should I start to play elite and club soccer? like how many years after playing AYSO?

I assume your american no? Its hard for me to answer because the system where I play (and everywhere else in the world) is different. We play at club level from age 6. But generally the rule with stepping up a level is when you feel dominant in your level of play and are one of the top 2-3 players in the team, you are ready to move on. Depending on the difference in level, this can take any amount of time whether it be a couple of weeks to never. You cant really put a time on it. You can set a target but you really have to know the level you are playing at and where you stand.

well starting with AYSO is a good start. I started playing club when I was 9 and i dont know how old you are. my entire AYSO team tryed out for club and only 5 of us made it. but if you really want to get up to play club and elite then you need to get in touch with your local club (not AYSO) and ask them about skills trainers. they can give you a skills trainer who can evaluate you and help you become the player you want to be. I must warn you though….. Club soccer and Elite soccer are pretty dang expensive so you need to start saving money.

you can start by playing AYSO then go on to a club but ive never played in a club or anything but im still better then the people who played soccer there whole lives haha gluck man
