Karrie O.: When is the etiquette deadine to tell someone “Happy New Year” in an email?
If you don’t talk to them that much and haven’t talked to them since December, when is the official deadline – etiquette wise – that you can END the e-mail with the salutation:
Happy New Year,
Karrie
Is it too late? Or can you end it that way up until say, mid-Feb?

The cutoff is July 3rd
It’s not too late. Just say “Hope you have a happy new year” instead of “Happy New Year”Answer by LostInCalifornia
I think you can still say Happy New Year. And, just to be on the safe side, if you’re worried about how it sounds, just wish someone a “Belated Happy New Year.” I think the important thing here is what your intentions are — and there’s nothing wrong with being kind and wishing someone the best.
Happy New Year to you, too! 🙂
Answer by Where can I find?no just do it everyone wants u to tell them that i hear it all day and i love it so much

Answer by nopm12:01 a.m. on January 1.
The same way that you do not say “Merry Christmas” after 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 26.
It’s over – we are now almost done Jan. Only 11 more months to go until 2011.
Please do not say Happy New Year anymore. You will simply be embarrassing yourself.
Answer by ebonyrufflesGood question. I got a Happy New Year on Jan 16 from a cashier. I felt like asking her why she didn`t own a calendar. But politeness prevailed.
