This whole “poltical correct thing has gotten out of hand. The only people who buy the trees celebrate christmas anyways. What do you think?

I agree. I can think of any other religious traditions that involve decorating a tree.
I think it’s a bunch of BS.Answer by satan666fromindiana
I don’t think it is about being politically correct it is about the actual meaning of the word Christmas which actually means to eat the flesh of Jesus in a ritual sacrafice.
holiday tree is more apropriate.
How does a tree symbolize a religious ceremony of were Jesus is eaten figuratively?

Listen, I haven’t had a Christmas Tree in over 30 years. That is by personal choice. Christmas itself has pagan roots that is a fact. Having said that, I do enjoy the season and not wanting to be seen a weirdo I do sent out cards. It does not bother me one bit what people call their tree, in fact I think they look very nice.
I even make it an event to go out driving around rating the beautiful houses all decorated to the nines–or is that tens, no I think it’s nines?
Answer by Wendy D.V.M.I hate the whole idea! Holiday Tree just doesn’t sound right!
I guess it’s just not to “offend” people who don’t believe in Jesus? At least, that’s what I heard.
No thumbs down, this is a question based on opinion!
Answer by claudy_kayIt can have two names….that’s ok.Answer by spunk113
Oh, absolutely. I’ve got a word for “holiday trees” and it’s not yahoo friendly (let’s just say it involves our favorite expletive and the word “retarded”).
Of course, if you think about it, the whole Christmas tree idea is kind of silly, anyway, considering it was originally a pagan tradition. Perhaps for true political correctness we should call them “Pagan trees”?Answer by Chuck P
I agree, Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ, if that isn’t the point then why bother. That would be like having jack -o-lanterns on the fourth of July, it makes no sense.Answer by sudonym x
I think it is ridiculous to call it a Christmas tree when it is an old pagan custom. It has nothing to do with Jesus’ birth.Answer by squeeky
I agree with you completely.
