I think after today (01.01.10) then you should stop. It’s not a new year tomorrow. We are already 2 days in then.

If you don’t bother to text them on the night or see them within the first week then don’t bother as you don’t mean it anyway.

January 4. That’s when everybody’s back to work for good and the next long holiday is 11 months and 21 days from then. Nobody’s having a happy new year once Monday starts.

It’s also Valentine’s Day so you can say Happy New Year and Happy Valentine’s Day at once!
