When an employer asks you on a job interview “do you have any questions for me?” and you say not at this time?

ℓov£ ιs ℓסv£: When an employer asks you on a job interview “do you have any questions for me?” and you say not at this time?
Is that bad?

Also is a short interview ( less than 10 minutes ) bad as well? I felt answered all of the questions throughly she only asked me tfour questions. I thought it was odd from the start.
I apologize for all of the spelling errors I am using my iPod touch.

It is better to ask some questions,if you have some !
It is not too short,it may be OK.

Depending on the job, it may be a bad thing – for an entry level professional job, it shows you couldn’t be bothered to research the company. If it’s for cashier at a fast food joint, I wouldn’t worry about it.

It depends on what the job is, but only 4 questions is pretty short.

Not having any questions for the interviewer may not be bad, but it COULD be an indicator that you really have no interest in that company. In other words, that all you want is a job, and you don’t care who hires you.

Think of it this way: a manager would like to think you really want to work for his company, especially and really care about the company.

No, a ten minute interview is not particularly long, but it reall depends on what kind of job it is. If its for a fast food position, or other in which long term work experience or specialized schooling are not critical, the hiring manager may only need to see that you have basic hygiene habits and some minimal language skills. For anything else, they can train you. But for a higher skill requirement job, a more detailed and lengthy interview is essential.

I used to hire electronics techs and engineers. One thing tat was guaranteed to cut an interview short would be if I caught the candidate in a lie. Catching liars is easy, with training and practice. I got to be very good at it.

Try giving her a follow up call. You can say that you DID have a question for her. Tak the time right now to think of one. Things like how large a crew you might be working with, or what other locations might the company have, or what the potential is for your growth and advancement is.

Even if she really had no intention of hiring you, your interest in the company might cause her to reconsider.
