Jim Crowbar: Job interview question and answer….?
If asked at a job interview “What are some of your weaknesses?” should I answer truthfully? I don’t think it’s right to lie but people keep telling me they expect me to lie. What would you say?

You answer this one with something that could be construed as a weakness, but also can be a good thing, depending on the situation.
For example: I tend to be very detail oriented. But if I’m interviewing for a bank teller position, they probably want someone who is accurate in that job. So while too much attention to detail might be bad in some jobs, it’s also good for others.
You need to find that “positive weakness” that fits into the career field you are interviewing in.
Answer by EleasarThe two most common questions are What are your strengths and what are your weaknesses. Knowing that a person is honest and aware enough of themselves to know their weaknesses is important. It might be that you have a hard time deli gating sometimes as you feel like if it is going to be done right, you need to do it yourself. But then say how you manager that and how you are self aware to keep not only yourself from getting overloaded but also to encourage staff development by delegating task. Just an example of course.
Hope this helps.
