In the US, 4-year colleges and universities offer the same degree – a bachelors degree. Universities also offer masters and PhD programs, but you need to earn a bachelors first if you want one of those, and you can do that at any college or university. Some colleges are better than some universities, and some universities are better than some colleges. Fake colleges and universities are easy to spot; they don’t make you take classes.
no it does not matter, if your college is a specialized one, then it is better than a university
but if you study a specific topic that university is famous for, then yes
for example in British Columbia there is this insituate called BCIT, trades people coming from there gets jobs
so sometimes college is better than university depending on the situation

University is bigger and within a university there may be several colleges. Universities offer graduate degrees, masters and doctorate, while most colleges only offer undergraduate degrees, associate and bachelors. Universities are usually more expensive than colleges and universities do more research than colleges.
The important thing is to make sure that your college or university is accredited by a national or regional organization otherwise your classes may not transfer or employers may not recognize them. The accreditation is usually right on the front page of their brochure. Fake colleges and universities are not accredited and most of them don’t require class attendance or have online type classes.
As far as jobs are concerned if you go to a well known school that has a good reputation that might impress some employers. I went to a community college for 2-years where I got my Associate Degree, and then to a 4-year college for 2-years where I got my bachelors degree, and then to a university for 2-years where I got my masters degree. It was a lot cheaper than just staying at university 6-years and I get the same jobs as those who did stay at a university, but university life is a lot different than life on a college campus. There is usually a lot more to do.
