adm5600: What’s the difference between “being in love” and ” loving someone”?
I love her so much that it hurts not to see her every day. Today she tells me that she Truly loves me but isn’t sure if she is “in love” with me. I’m pretty sure that she is but what’s the difference?

Being in love is different because it’s about romantic feelings. Loving someone is nothing to do with romance. I love my family but I’m in love with my bf. I can’t think of a better way to explain it. Hope that helps.
i’m in the same situation as you. i like him so much but the intensity isn’t mutual and i think that is why he just broke things off. he really cares but not the same. when you love someone, you genuinely care about their well being and how they are doing. but when you are in love, there is an intensity to that is unexplainable. your thinking about the person all the time, wanting to be with them during free time, totally comfortable, even thinking of the future to a degree. you love your friends, your family, but as you say, it doesn’t hurt so much to not see them but is killing to be without her.
