Katelynn: What skin products should I use on my face?
Here’s the thing, I have very sensative skin so I can’t use anything harsh at all on my face. Lately I’ve been getting red blotches on my face. I know that diet can have something to do with it but I’ve been eating normally, so I don’t think that’s had any effect. The stuff I use on my skin at the moment is cetaphil, that’s it. I want to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to get my skin looking healthy and non blotchy. Thanks.

Products actually differ from skin to skin. Depends what type of skin you’ve got whether its Oily, Normal Or Dry. Try using some mild face wash.
HERE ARE SOME TIPS HOW TO DEAL WITH SENSITIVE SKIN:

People with sensitive skin face many problems. The redness, irritation and blotchiness associated with sensitive skin can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. Herbal remedies are very good for sensitive skin, because they are free from the harsh chemicals that can cause skin problems. Generally, products that contain natural ingredients will be better for your skin and less likely to cause a sensitive skin reaction. Try the following remedies for some special sensitive skin care.
Use almond or jojoba oil to cleanse your face.
Comfrey steeped in water can make a good toner.
Make a facial exfoliate by mixing grapefruit with oatmeal.
Make a face mask out of fruit.
Cucumber and yoghurt also makes a good face mask for sensitive skin.
Licorice is a good product for sensitive skin. Look for skin care products that contain licorice.
Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties, which may help prevent sensitive skin reactions.
Aloe Vera can soothe skin that is red, irritated and blotchy. Apply directly to the skin.
Hope this helps!! =)
Answer by birthday girlI have sensitive skin too, especially exposure to the sun. I use Sorbeline cream as it doesn’t cause a rash and is excellent for a base for makeup or worn alone. It’s non-perfume and a great moisturizer and I use it all over as well.Answer by ♥ Dobby ♥
For dry skin:
Avocado, which contains vitamin E, as well as other natural oils, is a great moisturizer for dry skin.
Place a ripe avocado, peeled and seeded, in a blender or food processor with four tablespoons of plain yogurt. Blend until smooth. Apply the mixture to your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes, and then rinse your face with warm water.
The yogurt will not only hydrate and soften your dry skin, it will also exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells.Peel one banana. Place half of it in a bowl. (You can eat the other half.) Mash the banana with a fork. Add four tablespoons of plain yogurt to the banana, and stir the mixture until smooth. Apply to your face and leave on for ten to fifteen, then rinse off with warm water.
While honey is a natural astringent, it will also moisturize your dry skin.Separate the yolk from one egg. (You can use the rest for a light, egg white omelet.) Mix the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of honey, and stir the mixture until smooth. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
For oily skin:
For an oily nature oatmeal face pack is well and good. Oats helps skin to become soft. To make this face mask you need half cup cooked oat meal. Mash half apple and mix with oatmeal to get a paste. Add 2 tsp. lemon juice also. After cleansing your face with water apply the mask on face. Wait for 10 min. and rinse.
Tomato juice is a good natural astringent and it is very good for oily acne prone skin. Take half tomato and mash it well. Add a small grated cucumber and make a paste. Then add 2tsp. lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients well. This face pack is suitable for oily skin that have a tendency to get acne, pimples. Wash your face with water. Apply this face mask on the face. Wait for 10-15 min. then wash it off.
You can also use a facial SCRUB for smoother skin. Then best ones include sand in the cream to scrub away dead skin cells and get really smooth skin. all natural. i recommend St. Ives. You can make your own facial scrub by mashing a banana with some milk till creamy. Then when you’re done, add white sugar (not powder sugar) and scrub face with it. The banana nourishes skin, the milk adds a healthy glow, and the sugar scrubs.
