Na Na: What should a mother do when her 14 daughter comes home from Mexico with a permanent tattoo on her body?
What should a mother do when her 14 daughter comes home from Mexico with a permanent tattoo on her body? She was in Mexico with her father and was there with her mothers consent. She does not want it removed and this was legal under Mexican law. This was not illegal under US law, because US law has no jurisdiction over Mexico.
The mother and daughter are nationals of the USA and Russia and have passports of both countries. The mother is a naturalized US citizen and the daughter was born in the United States.

It’s Na, again!
Well, what can the mother do, in this instance? Not much, unless she wants to pay big bucks to have it laser-removed… Even then, it won’t be completely gone.
How about, she doesn’t let daughter go to Mexico with Dad.
Answer by candice vTake her to get it removed. It may not be illegal to get one there, but she is still a minor, and mom can take her in against her will to have it done. Then my child would be on s*** duty with chores for months.Answer by Ali
get over it later she will regret it. just tell her how disappointing is and dont let her go with her dad again obviously he is an idiotAnswer by sarah
There really isnt much you can do other then ground her. Tattoo removal is very very expensive and very very painful. As long as it is in a spot that isnt goign to hinder her from getting a job in the future I would just leave it.Answer by miss B
take her mobile phone away or something she likes to use… ask her dad why the hell he let her get it done at 14 !!

Full blood work up stat!
And Na, stop letting that “father” tattoo his kid!
Answer by Mr. CleetusNow your child has a permanent mark on her body at the age of 14. It’s to late to do anything about it but not to late to show your extreme displeasure. Did you expressly tell her that she was not to get a tattoo? If you did then you should give her some strict discipline to let her know that she crossed her boundaries.Answer by Canis Lupus
I would just let it go. She was with her father who gave her consent, she had your consent to be in Mexico with her dad, she made a decision and she is going to have to live with the consequences.
However…Gwen’s Mommy has a good point. Who knows how sterile this place was, take her to her pediatrician just to make sure she didn’t get hepatitis or something from the needle.

Well, she could have it removed but that is expensive. Daughter would be totally grounded for a long time. Father’s ears would still be ringing from the bawling out I would give him as well as NO MORE TRIPS TO MEXICO. THe father should have known better than to do something that permanent without the mom’s consent be it in Mexico or the US.Answer by mollysmom
Nothing you can do, except force her to have it removed, but that apparently leaves a pretty nasty scar.
The daughter, presumably had her father’s blessing to do this; but I’d be bolloxing him pretty hard — did he at least check out the sterility of the equipment being used on the girl? or was he so busy trying to score “cool dad” points that thoughts of her long term health escaped him?
Answer by Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷI imagine that she would deeply regret the decision in time, and I’d be very sad for her and furious with her father for not having watched her. I’d take her to the doctor ASAP and get some tests done to make sure she was safe and hadn’t contracted anything from the needles used at the tattoo parlor. Then I’d talk with my attorney about having the father’s rights severely restricted because it was unacceptable for him to have not prevented her from getting the tattoo. It’s not just the tattoo, it’s where she got it. Any tattoo parlor who gave one to a 14 year old (and even if she looked older than her age, they should have asked for ID) is dodgy.Answer by paul

Answer by Iam Sheeple¡Usted norteamericano estúpido! !!!!Answer by TP
When she’s asleep, sneak into her room with a knife and cut off the skin along with some of the flesh. Then your problem is solve.
Or you can might as well let it go and have her live with it seeing how what’s done is done and something you cannot change as a further attempt to control your child’s life. She did it, let her understand she’ll have to take the responsibility.
