Joshua: What laws govern how a supervisor should treat an employee?
I’m having a difficult time with my supervisor and I believe that they are breaking laws. I’m here in California. Is there a resource listing state laws that I can research?

EEOC.
That’s pretty much it
Answer by Dr. SnarkThere aren’t many laws on this subject. If you feel that you’re being discriminated against because you’re a protected class (race/gender/age/religion/etc) then there is civil rights legislation. If you are being physically abused then there are laws against assault, same as if the person was not your supervisor. If you feel like your supervisor is mean and unfair then you can find a new job.Answer by lcr000
employees have very few rights in the workplace, there is no law how management should treat employees some are screamers, some are timid, some do not really care, some are hard cases and some are wimps, you take your chances when you hire on with them if this describes your supervisor then you should also know there is also no law against being a jerk boss
