What kind of exams do they do? And explain the exams please. My dad wants me to get it but my mom says that they’ll tell me I’m to young, I’m 15 in May. Sdo they tell your mom if you’ve been “active”?

what do you mean, exams? if you were to say go to the doctor and say you want to go on birth control yeah they will let you. they certainly will not tell you you’re too young that’s ridiculous. they will keep all information private about your sexuality. they don’t have any exams or anything, they might just ask you a few questions like if you’re taking other medications, sexually active etc.
probably none at the age of 15
– might check your blood pressure
but the usual recommendation of blood pressure check / pap smears and breast checks as you get older
Dr can’t really tell if you are active or not – unless you say if asked
you are too young – you risk disease and a reputation at your age
wait another few years before you consider being active
Answer by kimiThey can rarely tell if you’ve done anything sexual. Be honest with your doctor though because they really are there for your well being. And everything you tell them is confidential.
They give you a pap smear before considering birth control options. It’s uncomfortable and awkward but it doesn’t hurt. I suggest trying the patch or the shot, because taking the pill can be a hassle. I had the option of getting the patch or the pill, and I chose the pill because I felt like it would make me more responsible, but it didn’t. It’s hard remembering to take it everyday at the same time.
Good luck and stay safe:)
Answer by jmi0975They can’t physically tell if you have been sexually active – they will ask you if you are, though. As for the exam, itself, they will check your blood pressure and the usual physical exam stuff, and they may do an internal vaginal exam, and use a long q-tip or brush to take cells from your cervix, as well do a visual exam of your vagina. Some places don’t require the internal, depending on your age and if you have not been sexually active before.
