I am ttc and can only hold my pee for about 10 mins after sex. My doc has always told me to urinate after sex to avoid UTI & bacterial infection.

Has anyone gotten pregnant and peed after sex?
Is this old wives tale actually true?

Your pee comes from a diffrent “Hole” not the hole where the penis enters the vagina. so it wont effect antything

you should never hold in your pee after having sex thats how you get very painful uti’s
you should urinate prior to having sex so you dont have to worry about that
it would effect the sperm, increasing your chance of getting pregnant you need to help the sperm along with gravity, after sex prop some pillows on your bottom while laying on your back it will help the sperm move to where they need to be

yes. i have.. i got UTIs for falling asleep after sex, i didnt get pregnant either.. i pee’d after and then fell asleep..i was pregnant that month (i always believe in the wives tales,but this one..i proved wrong)

You can most definitely get pregnant even if you jump up to use the bathroom after sex. As someone else said it only takes one. If your partners sperm count is in the normal range then millions should be close to your cervix as soon as he ejaculates. You could also try instead cups. They are normally used for menstrual bleeding but many couples have been successful in conceiving, since they insert it right after sex and are still able to get up an use the restroom without all the ‘baby batter’ falling out.
