What is the scam that billions of working poor believe that keep them poor?

DH: What is the scam that billions of working poor believe that keep them poor?
I’m making two assumptions:
One, good people are the majority.
Two, we’re doing something wrong.
My theory is good people believe a scam. The scam is hurting the billions of working poor. What is the scam we all believe, even the working poor believe?

I’m not too sure if I understand your question, but I believe the scams are everywhere if you think about it. There are just bad people that want to make money off of others, but don’t feel bad about doing harm to those people.
