I think opposition to Islam is growing dangerously in the US, and the brunt will have to be bore by common muslims who are not even dogmatic in their attitudes, which is quite disturbing. What do you think ?

In 50 years, these people, two and half generations from now, will have problems of their own to deal with. They’re not going to look to us for references on how to frame things. This is going to be miles away from their concerns.

The situation is similar to the Japanese-Americans during WWII. They fought for the Americans. This is not a religious war. Islam has been taken over to serve the political interests of countries like Iran and the interests of the clerics; just like Shinto was taken over by the Japanese war lords and German Catholicism taken over by the Nazi party. People of whatever religion have to cut their ties with their birth country if they want to live in the US. Keep whatever religion they like.

Islam exspecially in this country is all but dead here and in europe,the only thing that keeps it growing is immigration of muslems too all these countries,with this immagration came their place of worship a mosque and the only way these mosques are built is by under the table and illeagle methods or by your mercy. hears a blessing and a our father prayed just for you. I know for a fact….that this country is going to go toward christianity, no other way or religion…We as christians are as strong as muslims and we are not going to let it go. This country was founded on christianity and it is going to stay that way.. If God and Jesus are real just watch what happens…I Have heard some incredible things from a modern day prophet…and i know prophets are true cuz it happens in my church all the time…and this prophet has some very interesting things to say…..and He spoke about ground “0” and said GOD IS ABOUT TO DOING SOMETHING VERY CUNNING..THE MOSQUE IS NOT GOING TO BE PUT THERE…..GOD IS ABOUT TO STEP IN AND DO SOMETHING. this whole debate has uncovered a deep running hatred and intolerance within the ‘christian’ community. now we see their true colors. it’s these same clowns that tried to keep the black man down. remember just a few short decades ago blacks were escorted to school under military presence just to keep the peace? jim crowe laws?
i must remind you that the vast majority of those hatemongers where white christians.

i don’t know why the constitution says ‘freedom of religion’ when it should say ‘freedom to practice christianity and christianity only’.

Hopefully both parties will learn eventually to calm down; Muslims need to stop sending death threats to those with whom they disagree, and hillbillies need to stop thinking EVERY Muslim is sending death threats and acting like a violent radical, which is obviously not true.

Other than the Heat there is between the Muslims and the west. Muslims have always had their own problems. As such are the Shia and Sunni sects friction. there are daily reports of how Shia’s have kidnapped Sunni’s from the street who are then executed. Vice Versa.
Having had a history of Civil war between themselves, a revolution against one another is bound to happen. As far as the Western world is concerned, the actual matter of education must be mentioned here. Islam is Truly a religion of peace, love and respect. Unfortunately more than 95% of muslims have taken the wrong hand and are living a life which is completely astray from the Original teachings of peace and brotherhood. Its all down to the misunderstanding of Current muslims (majority, NOT all) and the way the media depicts this image of muslims = only taking into the account the negative.

The “current debates on Islam” will likely have literally no impact whatsoever on Islam. Muslims as a whole are not going to suddenly change how they live because some big high muckity-mucks are in a closed room somewhere talking about them.

Islam is not something we are used to here in the US, as a religion. We got so used to vilifying the “holy” Crusades, we cannot understand a religion which blows innocent people up in the name of their god. Huh? We’re used to private religions of peace.

We do not see many muslims coming out and condemning their own like so many Christians have like with this pastor in Florida. If the tables were turned, how many muslims would stand up against their own and with Christians? We all know the answer to that just as much as they do. Very sad.

Which is weird, because here we are defending the muslim’s conviction of revering their holy book while they take any opportunity to condemn ours freely in a country they morally demean but enjoy all that it has to offer at the same time. How many see that oxymoron? That, Americans and Christians can’t seem to understand about Islam. It seems so blindly double minded. It won’t end well. I think both muslims and Americans see that coming, and a lot sooner than 50 years.

I suppose they will taste what its like being a Christian in the middle east? Very sad.

in europe more than 50% of the population will be islamic within 50 yrs. the reason is the low birthrate of those countries native populations against the very large birthrate of muslims.
it will have to be up to the common muslims to keep the extremists under control, but so far they are being kept quiet by the powerful imams
