Recently, i put my apartment on craigslist, to hope that someone would want to live here for the durationg of my leasem which remaining, is 6 months. Someone from Europe recently showed interest, and i am hesitant. He sent me a check for $ 5000, which is enough for all 6 months, plus deposit, but i dont want to cash it cuz im not sure what will happen. He hasnt showed up yet to move in, but i said i had to have it before july 15th so i could use some of the money to clean up the place. If this check bounces, why would he write it? The European check scam thing, what is up with that???

go ahead and deposit the check. Don’t spend the money for at least 30 days….

My guess is that the check is rubber, and you will be getting the check back in a few days…
