lonelyg: what is the cost for accommodation in bahrain ?
I have been offered USD 120 as accommodation allowance by my future employer. I am single. Would it be possible to find a accommodation from the allowance offered to me ? What are the options. I will be working in Manama. SO where would I be able to find a place around there ?

1 US$ = 0.377 BHD
120 US$ = 45 BHD
This may get you a room in a shared apartment.
Answer by JSIf that’s per month, you won’t be able to find much… Whatever you find will be of a REALLY low quality and probably on a sharing basis.Answer by kcsk
With that amount, you will only able to find shared accommodation with others.
You can have a look at the following link and check what are the options and price of accommodation in Bahrain

Answer by OGUZ ERCIYASFirst, the rate: 1 USD = 0.375 BHD
So, 120 USD = 45 BHD
You will find single bedroom flats very rarely, but 2 bedroom (+ living room) are very common. In “JUFFAIR” area, where many expats live, two bedroom fully furnished flats vary between 500 – 750 BHD monthly.
Working in Manama, Juffair is an optimum location for a residence. From Juffair, it takes 10 minutes to reach city center by car, and 15 minutes to airport. Well, the longest distance in Bahrain takes about 30 minutes to reach.
It is a very quiet, peaceful, reasonable, easy-living, friendly country.

thats extremely low for accomodation allowance, so you wont be able to find a good house for yourself in that range.
