I grew up where alot of my school mates lived in motels. Now my sons are going to same schools as I did. It is so sad to know one of your sons best friend has lived in the same motel for three years. I just read today in the “The Virginian-pilot” that about 90 Elementary students live in these small drug infested motels. And that’s just one elementary . I want to start a group that gives out Christmas presents to these children on Christmas eve.These children need alittle more on Christmas day,then just a very small motel room to wake up to. There’s no room for a oven to cook with,,so I’m sure there’s no room for tree. But maybe room for few presents to make a child smile.

Pass out fliers to your neighborhood and maybe those around you. Ask that if they would like to donate small toys, personal hygiene stuff, books for certain ages and so on. Never for get the parent…They also need some support to know that they are being thought of also. Ask the church if you could place a box there to collect these items. Please make sure some one is there to watch said box, there is always some one who is just evil enough to steal it…The hospital also might help…Good luck and God Bless you always…
