jonnytoobad: What is the correct baseball equipment for an adult?
I’m in the UK and i want to buy some basic baseball equipment to practice pitching and hitting. Here in the UK only a few places sell baseball equipment and they are all online, I am looking for a glove, bat and ball. However i’m finding it really difficult to tell the difference between junior and adult equipment. The gloves and bats are measured in inches, so what sizes should i go for for standard adult gear? Often i’ve seen gloves that look perfect but its only when i read through the description that i find its for kids. So whats the best sizes for an averaged sized 6′ adult?

I use a 12 inch and im 15 so you should stay with 12+. I have a descent size hand so honesty go with something like a 12.5in. The bats you can tell because they should say between Youth, High School, College (adult). . Also you can tell if its adult by its length to wieght ratio. A adult bat is normally -3. A example of this is 33in long and 30ounces. Also they are big barrels.Answer by andy
id say about 11 and a half inches would be good for you. for a pitcher you dont need a large glove, just something to catch the ball when the catcher throws it back to you.
for a bat id say get a 32 inch bat that weighs 29 ounces, should be a good sized bat for someone who is just starting. if you are stronger then go for a 33 inch bat that weighs 30 ounces.
