Alex R: How to dress when playing tennis in winter?
I just started tennis lessons (I mean I’ve had about 5-6 lessons) & I usually wear the classic skimpy tennis skirts & dresses you see girls wearing in tennis matches. But winter is getting closer & closer & since it’s freezing here, I think I’d catch a cold if I wore those. What should I wear? Wearing a tracksuit or a big baggy sweater just doesn’t seem right since all girls I’ve seen play tennis wear either dresses or skirts. Thanks in advance!

when i play in the winter i usually wear a tennis skirt because your legs typically warm up faster than your arms. i wear an underarmour tennis shirt, short sleeve or long sleeve, with an underarmour-like long sleeve jacket. Dicks sporting goods has great jackets that fit tighter so they stay out of the way and look nice, but also keep you warm. sometimes i even wear soccer socks up to my knees, it looks odd but it keeps my legs warm until i warm up. you could wear a headband like federer and put it over your ears to keep them warm. you could also wear exercise leggings under a skirt. i think that would look ok. but you should wear what you’re comfortable in and not what would look like everyone else

Uh well it depends. When I play I usually start off with a light jacket and shorts. And then as the game goes on I get warm so I take the jacket off. I usually wear gloves and sometimes I will wear long sleeves.
