Practice headers so you can save all the high balls your teammates miss, kick the ball into a brick wall and try to kick it harder each time, make targets to kick at to practice your aim, but most of all just have fun 🙂
touch the ball as much as possible. juggle the ball and get your sweet spot and try doing some tricks, if you dont know much about soccer, try looking at some of the best idols for soccer. Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his quickness, touch, skill, and shots. search some videos on youtube and learn from him. Another great idol is Leonel Messi. He is know for perfect touch at high rate of speed, observe how he dribbles using the outside of his foot when sprinting and inside when trying to keep the ball in control. you’ll also have to learn the tactics on the field. Keep in mind that as tempting as it is to go forward all the time, it is not always the best thing to do. Learn to keep your head up while dribbling to keep vision of the field. if there is too much pressure on you, you can always pass backwards to make the safe move and keep posession of the game. remember its always better to be safe than sorry. lastly try learning how to accurately shoot and cross. shooting shouldnt be a lob shot but a drilled shot that will have piercing speed. when shooting, keep your opposite foot (plant foot) next to the ball with your toes pointing at the direction you want to shoot. once your leg come down to strike the ball, make sure your knee is over the ball to ensure mid elevation shot. follow through by making your shooting foot go in the air followed by your plant foot. you dont want to keep your feet on the ground which decreases power and comfortability in the shot. if the ball is going to high, then you’re tilting your body back too much or raising your head to see where the ball has gone too quickly. if the ball isnt getting any air, then you’re probably too in front or over the ball. keep adjusting your body and you’ll find your sweet spot. finally, learn how to run on your toes. while in the house or walking, walk on your toes. this will make your calves burn after a while but will train your calves last longer. when ever you go for a sprint, make sure you use your toes, itll increase your traction, speed, and agility at high speeds. Cristiano ronaldo does this VERY well. hope thats good advice. just wonder around you tube with your questions and look at this idols.
