savedfan: What is the best way to pace myself during an exam?
I have a two-hour exam tomorrow. The test will contain 100 MC questions, 3-4 essays, and several conversion/mole/dot diagram problems (this is a chem exam). What is the best way to pace myself? Should I start with the essays? In past years, people have not finished, and I’d like to finish and do well. Thanks!

It usually depends on the point value of the questions- do those that are worth the most first, but don’t spend too much time on one question when you could finish 2-3 questions of the same point value in the same time
what you really need to do is finish the questions/essays that are easy and you know. then you need to go back and finish what you can figure out. once you’ve done that, then just go back and fill in the rest to the best of your ability. and don’t forget, research what you know will be on the test and be as prepared as you can.
