SWAMI VIVEKANANDA’S samathi day.
4th July, 2008 is not a Holiday in India. 4th July is the Independence Day of United States of America and is a National Holiday in Americaa. May be your friend in India is working in a BPO, which work for an American Firm as they will be having all American holidays.Answer by tamil..from vellore
4th july was not a holiday in india and no one celebrates …this is the day of independence day america. and celebrations are there in america only. it is not a day so important in india and if you say any, that will be only a region level and not national level..and in region level also, i don’t think the 4th july is so important in india.Answer by Vinod 2008
Dear Friend
You might have misled by some people.
The date July 4th is not a special one for Indians, and not at all celebrating as holiday.
Sometimes, July 4th comes on Sundays… then it will be enjoyed as a normal weekend holiday in India… lol
July 4th is important only for those in USA and those working in US firms. It is the Independence Day of USA and thus is a National Holiday in US. No others have that much importance of that day… (But for me… it is very important and enjoying a lot, because it is my anniversary… lol)
Best of Luck
Thx
