What is love and how do you know when you are in love?

pinky: What is love and how do you know when your in love?
People always say “I have found the right person” or “I have fallen in love” and etc. What is love? And how do you know you have found “the one”? How do you know when your in love? I know a lot of people who say they are in love and then a month or two later they break up or something? So how do you really truly know he or she is the one or you have really fallen in love?

Its true you can’t explain it. I think I’m with the right person right now, I don’t wanna say yes and have things turn out wrong. Love is a big risk, and I’m afraid of getting hurt. But I’ve found this guy and he’s all I think about, I would do anything for him, I see myself with him and no one else. But the biggest sign is I just have the feeling he is different than all the others, I don’t know how to explain it. But just listen to everyone else, everyone who say who just know, well that saying true.

you just know. its really hard to explain.
you feel everything and nothing at the same time. you want to be around that person a lot. you want the best for that person. you put the wants and needs of that person before your own. you cant imagine a day of your life without that person being there. you’d do anything for that person. that person is always on your mind. and so on. like i said, hard to explain.

sometimes people say they are in love but dont really know what it means.

As Dr. Seuss so eloquently said “You know you’re in love when you can’t sleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

Love… And I mean true love… Is when you have put aside your desires and you care more to fulfill the desires of another. When you like someones differences instead of arguing about how “wrong” they are.
When you go out of your way to talk to them, see them, or talk about them.

Mostly you know you love someone when your fantasies about the future make absolutely no sense if they’re not included.

Love doesn’t mean that you constantly want to be near them, that’s infatuation… When you first start any relationship you want to be with them every waking moment. The feeling of strong attraction or infatuation is similar to a growing addiction to heroin. You want it ALL THE TIME, and when you’re on it you feel incredible.
Love happens after the attraction fades a little, and you become attached to them. You still want them, but the sexual attraction becomes more of an undertone than a necessity.

The whole breaking up after two months comes into play when people mistake infatuation for love. Once the attraction fades they realize there wasn’t much there to begin with.
