Anecdotique_76: Does the capacity of “falling in love” decrease with the years?
I’m 30 and I am each day less able to “fall in love” like a fool! you know… than I was before.. Is that normal? What is your experience?

no. i am 44 and 3 years ago i fell head over heals with my wife. so be patient it will happen again. it is just as we get older we mature and learn more of what we want in a partner so we become a bit more picky. but when it hits it hits hard and fast and is even better than in the past.
What on earth are you talking about? “Falling in love” isn’t something that should happen every day. It’s something precious that doesn’t come around too often. I am not in love now, but I know I’m capable of love. The idea of love has matured for me and is no longer the schoolgirl fantasy. I’ve been dating a wonderful man. I don’t know yet if I will fall in love with him. I don’t know him enough to. I’ve only been dating him about a 1 1/2 months. But maybe someday… Only time will tell. In the meantime, I will enjoy what I do have and remain in love with love….
Oh, yeah. I’m 32, by the way.
Answer by on my own againI can tell you honestly that age has nothing to do with falling in love. I was married for 20 yrs to “the wrong woman” We divorced after 5 children. Four days after the divorce was final I met and fell madly inlove with a woman who had divorced after 13 yrs and 2 children. Neither of us had ever cheated, or seen the other before. I asked her to marry me 2 hrs into our first date .She thought I was crazy. She was covering up the same feelings I was having though. We dated for 4 months and then got married. We are more in love than ever after 26 yrs. I fall in love with her again every day.It is wonderful. When I look at her I am overwhelmed by my good fortune.
