I am looking to have a big dinner party for a group of friends before I go to the Coast Guard Academy. I want to have it at a restaurant in southern San Diego, preferably in downtown or by the beach. There will be at least 20 people coming and I would like to keep it under $ 200 if possible. Please give me suggestions! Thanks.

“Under $ 200” is pretty limiting for at least 20 people. That’s less than $ 10/person for dinner, beverages and tip. Pizza joint maybe, but even that is pushing it.

Go with a backyard BBQ. Fits the budget, and good opportunity to socialize.
