smythe 989: What is a good gift that we could give our parents for our wedding?
Our parents did a lot to help us with planning and paying for our wedding…With that being said, what are some good gift ideas for stuff that we could give them as a thank you? And typically how much money do people spend on gifts for their parents?

We gave each set of parents a “night out” on us: gift certificates to each couple’s favorite restaurant, as well as a gift card to the local movie theater near them, as well as a beautiful photo album with a message written inside the cover where they can store their prints from the wedding.
For us, we didn’t know how to appropriately thank them (and we know that nothing could thank them enough!), but the way we saw it, they had devoted the last year entirely to our wedding and relationship, the least we could do was give them a night out so they could pamper themselves a little bit on us…and the photo album was practical: really beautiful albums can be really expensive, and we wanted them to have something really nice to hold their photos.
How about one of these with a thank you engraved? Then they can place their wedding pictures of you guys in there. Parents always love photos. And then inside the album place some gift certificates. What do your parents love? A dinner out together? A pedicure for your mother? A golf outing for your father?
And the price all depends. What can you afford? Your parents would never want to put yourself in debt giving them a gift.

we gave my parents a catered personal surf and turf dinner. We also took my brother and sister for the weekend so that they could have a romantic weekend. The dinner cost around $ 250.00Answer by Weddingzilla
Give them a remembrance of the wedding, an engraved picture frame with a wedding pic of the two of you.
Most parents of the wedding say they need a vacation after the wedding more than the couple needs a honeymoon. Give them a couples massage or a weekend at a bed and breakfast so they get a chance to decompress after the stress of your wedding.
You are so sweet to think of your parents!
Answer by krissylynReally, your parents do need/want/expect a gift. Just make sure to thank them sincerely, and spend that $ on your wedding so that they don’t have to.Answer by Kristy
A handwritten letter to each set of parents from the OTHER child – bride to groom’s, groom to bride’s, thanking them for raising such a wonderful child and giving him/her the opportunity to marry and such. It’s a great thing, a handwritten letter of thanks for raising such an awesome child ( =
Good luck!
Answer by ariel_okinawaI found this gift idea a few months ago, and it would be perfect for yourselves, as well as your parents. You have you invitation engraved on the cover, and then fill it with photos from the day!

Answer by fierychic328We’re getting my parents a GPS as a thank you. It’s something that they want but do not want to spend the money for it. I have allotted about $ 300-350 for the gift. For the amount of time and money they are spending, it’s the least that my fiance and I can do. But I’m sure that whatever you give them they will love. My sister and her husband gave my parents a gift certificate to spend at a cabin for a few days after she got married. It was a way for them to relax and have some peace and quiet.Answer by arj007
