Ed Collins: What fantasy football site do you use and what site should we avoid?
Greetings,
My friend and I are going to jump in and play fantasy football this year, against each other. (We asked a bunch of our other friends, but no one else is interested.)
Question. What hosting site do you prefer and why? What sites to avoid?
Our only criteria right now is that initially, we want a free site. Also, one that caters to newbies is probably preferred, since we might not know what we’re doing for awhile.
Thanks in advance for all replies.
Wizard: It has nothing to do with Excel. Why do you think it should?

nfl.com is a great site for begginers
the instructions are laid out clearly and registration takes 1 min. (+ its 100% free). after signing up, there are plenty of leagues to choose from, i reccomend using the nfl.com standard leagues and not the custom since this is your first year. espn.com is also another good place.
Answer by JGI’ve run and played in Yahoo leagues for 5 years, they are good and simple to use. I also have played in a CBS Sports league for the past 4 years and I can say that set up is superior, but probably not as easy to use for a beginner. I know for a fact that Fox Sports is TERRIBLE and ESPN is very crappy for Fantasy Baseball so I’d avoid that site for Fantasy Football. I cannot comment either way on the other websites that host Fantasy Football.Answer by LegFuJohnson
I’m not sure that any of these sites that are being mentioned allows for a 2 team league.Answer by Messykatt
Leg is correct. Almost all sites have a 4 person minimum.
I use yahoo and espn at the moment, and I’d say they’re about equal in terms of easiness to follow. But I think ESPN is better. And all major sites are free.
You do need at least two more players, though. They won’t let you draft with just two.
