Emily: What exactly can parents do to help their daughters enter the dating world with confidence?
Girls rarely get to direct their own sexual identity or development in our culture. Between the messages they get from the media, friends, parents and boys, it’s amazing any of them leave adolescence unscathed. Unfortunately, though, many don’t. So what can parents do to protect their girls? How can they help girls navigate their way through these messages, and still somehow stay true to the girls’ own desires? How can they still get to date, without getting too sexually involved? Thank you so much on behalf on me and my daughter!

Don’t let guys push you beond you comfort zone! That’s all i can really say to help
First, ensure that they know to take care of themselves. Teach then how to make sure no one does anything they don’t want them to do. RAD courses are something I would recommend. There are too many sickos out there. Even at my age, I worry when I go out the door and am terrified for my daughter. Ensure she always has enough change for a payphone in her purse. If her cell gets stolen, she’ll need a way to call you. Always make sure she has enough change to make a call if she needs to.Answer by Katherine N

If you feel you have raised her correctly, then it shouldn’t matter. Let her be. People will always say boys are going to push her to do things sexually, but this isn’t true. The only boys that will do that are the ones she should avoid anyways. The other boys are just as nervous as she is and probably aren’t going to make moves until they’re both so comfortable with each other it wouldn’t matter anyways.Answer by Aviatrix
