Hector: What does the bride, groom, and priest say at a Mexican Wedding during the unity coins and the lasso?
My fiancee and I will be doing a Mexican wedding at our catholic church. The priest has only done a couple Mexican weddings a long time ago and does not remember what to do with the unity coins and lasso. He asked me to investigate this for him. Does anyone know what the priest says during the lasso and what the bride and groom say during the unity coins? Please provide any links on the web if possible. Thanks!!!!!!

it is my understanding that the lazo represents the couples committment to being tied to one another and so the words would most likely be something along the lines of expressing your committment.

the unity coins are blessed by the priest in a prayer. try here for some samples of prayers over both and the order in which they are done.
