Boeshkin: What does the bride do when she is exchanging rings with her husband and she is wearing gloves?
What is the proper etiquette of ring exchange when the bride wears gloves? Does she put the ring over the glove or take off the glove and then put it on?

You can get ‘wedding gloves’ from bridal shops that have a split in the side seam of the left-hand ring finger so that you can pull the glove back just on that finger in order to put the wedding band on. Ask the place you are getting your gloves from, they should be able to help you.
If you get a ring that fits you over the gloves then it will be miles too big to wear day-to-day.
Answer by YasThere are special bridal gloves with a finger cut out.
If she plans to wear gloves without this cut out she has to take off the one glove and put it on after the ceremony.
Answer by riversconfluenceYes, they make gloves with the finger open, or a side seam open.
If the gloves are whole, then just before the groom slides the ring on the brides finger, she takes the glove off and hands it to the nearest bridesmaid/ matron.Answer by Xa2
I think that the simplest to do is to take off the glove, and put it back after the exchange of the rings. It’s true that there exist those gloves with a split in the side seam, but I fear a bit that you wouldn’t use them afterward (let’s say for a ball), while if you wear “normal” long gloves, you can wear them in the future for formal events.
