Sexuality is dramatically tied in with psychology. Sadism/masochism can be attributed to abuse or complexes, and some people are very prone to fetishes to the point that they can be considered disorders. There are many layers to the issue. Psychology is the study of mind and behavior. Sexual attitudes fall under that category. But why YOUR sexual attitudes?
The assignment strikes me as a bit prurient and invasive of privacy, and not appropriate comportment for a professor. If this is an optional assignment and you don’t want to participate, simply don’t. But if it is required, or part of your grade and you have no choice, go to the Dean’s office and file a complaint.
